105-006 Gujarat/Sindh dowry bag (one side)

One side of a very old dowry bag from Gujarat or Sindh.  Although it has lost about 30 mirrors, given its age and obvious signs of usage, it's good that so many mirrors remain.  The bottom portion and sides consist of 2 pieces of cotton for strength (presumably).  Cotton embroidery, with traces of purple silk (I believe) in the bottom panel. Tie-dye borders.  The orange is not quite as bright as it appears in the photos.  I have not found any close parallels in more modern pieces in books or on the internet - it may well be a style not made for quite some time.  I bought this in Jaipur in 1980.  Weighs 204 grams.
