118-035 Antique Rare 'Mudmee Ikat' Thai Esarn 'Pa Sin' silk/cotton woman's sarong

This vintage, beautiful, Thai Esarn 'Mudmee Ikat' two piece, 'Pa Sin' woman's sarong captures the color scheme of Autumn, with color tones of chestnut, beige, ash and red. The large natural dye, crimson colored, natural cotton waist band has lined silk thread embroidery. The main body 'Pa Sin' sections design utilizes a combination of a diamond 'kan lam tdat' and a pine cone 'gung' motif. The overall color combinations are very complementary, calming, earthy and organic. It artistically represents a gorgeous example of the Thai weaver's attunement to the changing of the seasons. This handwoven, natural hand-dyed antique Asian textile would make a fine addition to any collector's treasures. Finding these old pieces in 'like new' condition is very rare these days.
