Cotton, supplementary weft with gold threads, with ship-of-the-dead and house motifs - used in connection with weddings, funerals and other sacred occasions. All natural dyes.

Displayed, along with other pieces at exhibitions at the Lowie Museum of Anthropology and the University Art Museum, University of California, Berkeley, December 1978-March 1979 with many similar pieces found in major museums around the world (Metropolitan Museum of Art, Detroit Museum of Art, de Young Museum and others).

Unusual because of the simplicity and severity of its design, the richness of its colours, and its excellent condition.
